Further Progress on Lucky Jack

Had some great help from members of the Atlanta Military Figure Society,

F-106 and Tiger I (Late)

I'm continuing work on the F-106.  The cockpit is finished as is the landing gear bays, cockpit, and burner can.  I've added some lead weight to the nosecone to keep this plane from becoming a tail dragger.

I've also started a Tiger I (late production) tank.  I've opted to replace the DS plastic tracks with white metal tracks from Friulmodel.  These metal tracks more accurately replicate the sag in found in German "dead" tracks.

More work on F-106

The cockpit is finished and I've started installing wheel well parts and gear struts.  Sometimes the instructions leave a little to be desired.  I'm also looking for missile bay parts I've misplaced.

Starting Over

After receiving invaluable assistance yesterday at the Atlanta Military Figure Society meeting, I've stripped all the paint and have re-primed lucky Jack.  Starting off with the eyes, I'll attempt to get them the correct size and alignment.

Here I go again.

This is starting to look better

I tried using just basic skin tone and dark red to come up with highlight colors I liked.  I'm taking it this weekend to the AMFS meeting to get some pointers and criticism.

Highlights to the Face

I've been adding thinned layers of the base paint with basic fleshtone added incrementally in subsequent painting sessions.  The result is this,

I don't know if this is looking correct or not since I haven't added any shadows yet.  Time will tell.
